Ashoka gritham is a herbal ghee formulation used widely in gyneacology disorders.
Its usage:
It is used as a preparatory proceedure called sneha karma.
In the treatment of respiratory disorders.
In anemia, loss of weight menstural disorders and bleeding.
Efect on tridoshas:clams vata and pitta.
Dosage:
1/4-1/2tsf followed by warm water on empty stomach once or as directed by the physician.

Ashoka
water boiled reduced to1/4 the quantity.
Decoction of jeeraka
rice washed water
goat milk
kesharaja rasa
jeevaniya gana herbs
yastimadhu
priyala
parushaka
pasanjana
ashoka
mrudveeka
shatavari
tanduleeya
sharkara
the above ingredients are heated till herbal ghee is prepared.
